- Dan Darling has an exhaustive pair of reports on the 9/11 commission and its findings (Part 1 | Part 2). "I'm not sure how interested you are in the nuts and bolts aspect of this kind of stuff, but I just figured I'd throw this your way to show you just how truly whacked-out the findings of this commission are entirely apart from the issue of Iraq and al-Qaeda. If this is the state of our intelligence agency, the whole WMD thing is starting to make a lot more sense now."
- American Hostage Killed, Terror Group Says. "...The Web site showed three pictures of what appeared to be Johnson's severed head -- one showed the bloodied head propped up on the back of a body in an orange jumpsuit with a knife leaning on the face."

IRAQ REPORT
- Statement from the terrorists Regarding the Johnson beheading: "We, by the will of God, will continue to fight the enemies of God...This act is revenge against them and will be a lesson so that they can be sure of the fate of those who come to our country."
- In light of Mr. Johnson's horrific murder at the hands of Islamic terrorists, it is time to revisit The Sacred Muslim Practice of Beheading: ". . .such murders are consistent with sacred jihad practices, as well as Islamic attitudes towards all non-Muslim infidels, in particular, Jews, which date back to the 7th century, and the Prophet Muhammad's own example.... 'When you encounter those [infidels] who deny [the Truth=Islam] then strike [their] necks' (Qur'an sura 47, verse 4)" "

THE 9/11 REPORT
"The problem the administration has is that the predicates it laid down for the war have not played out," said Warren B. Rudman, the former Republican senator from New Hampshire, who has extensive experience in assessing intelligence about terrorism. "That could spell political trouble for the president, there's no question. . . ."
"We have no credible evidence that Iraq and al-Qaeda cooperated on attacks against the United States." - 9-11 Commission, June 16 . . .
Let us hope that the country will look long and hard at the evidence.

IRAN REPORTS
- Iran massing troops on Iraq border ". . .Al-Sharq al-Awsat quoted "reliable Iraqi sources" as saying, "Iran moved part of its regular military forces towards the Iraqi border in the southern sector at a time its military intelligence agents were operating inside Iraqi territory."
- 'Iran will not give up rights to the peaceful use of atomic energy' The whole world can't help but wonder why an oil rich Islamic nation, known for nothing but the suppression and subjugation of its own peoples as well as the supporting and exporting international terrorism, needs nuclear energy for "generating electricity"?
- Check out Iran Diary, an insightful 9 part analysis looking at everything from the revolution, to Tehran's mean streets, to its women, to the current nuclear crisis. The author says 'embrace' Iran. See what you think. Are things changing—are they changing fast enough?

Need to include Fareed's screed against Saudia Arabia (esp. Azouzi), methinks.
Explosion in Algiers within the last few hours.
Joe, just got back. Did you finally get my e-mails from yesterday and this morning?
The report looks different than the one I sent?
From this morning at 9:40am. Nothing from yesterday.
I had to add bullets to all entries, and shorten up on the Top topics to keep them to 3 max. A lot of this was Iraq-related so it required a reorg, and the 9/11 commission materials also needed to be grouped together.
Nothing was deleted, therefore, but the organization is different.
Thanks for submitting this one.
Wonder what happened to the e-mails? Why they took so long to get there? Where the others are? Could the recent viral activity have anything to do with it?
I too am "missing" a couple of e-mails in my business that came to me via other sources.
The only thing I could think of "fast," yesterday morning when I realized you had not received, was to post on the Website.
Thanks for the "re-org." I rather grouped them by date and "importance."
Iraq is at the "heart" of the WoT, no? :-D
