The Republicans don't like to admit this, but your combination of likable, roguish southern Good Ol' Boy and slick Daniel Webster lawyer type fuses a pair of classic American archetypes that can help the USA in the years ahead (just as Democrats can't admit that Dubya's combination of easygoing regular guy and cowboy lead-with-deeds-not-words archetypes are also classsic Americana with a valuable role to play).
